The Grassroots Action Resource Center is a social innovation incubator... a place where grassroots organizations and individuals with ideas on how to improve some aspect of our community can come and learn / access the resources they need to really make a difference. There will be physical resources available (computers, internet, a social innovation library, meeting space, etc.) but also tremendous networking opportunities and a wealth of shared knowledge. We plan to offer training for both organizational leaders and volunteers. We will also serve as a hub of activity for individuals who want to find out what community service opportunities are available and use skills/passion/interest matching to help them find their community service niche!
Work on the building is complete. Ribbon cutting ceremony and open house was held Monday April 28th at 4 pm. Building is now completed and is open for business.
